Yo, völlig geil, rm -rf belzebub scheint zu klappen. Die (odd)muse / das wiki-net braucht einfach ne Weile, um das Gift aus seinem Blutkreislauf zu entfernen. Keine overloads seit 6.1. Keine kernel crashs auch nich mehr, yeah!!! Alter, is das gross nach all dem Gespaste für Jahre!

using web-services for what they do best

I just realized I have to use web-services for what they do best. A first impression:

• facebook - opening the iron gate of the WalledGarden and letting gazillions of facebook groups and pages out into the open


• friendfeed - searching for µblogging messages and including user icons into the search queries


• soup.io - providing the history of feeds, viewing videos related to a topic on a single page


• tumblr - dunno yet, currently feels underexposed

What a mess I’ve created in years of experimenting and how nice it is to finally sense some magnetism.

Yesterday evening I found and removed some more direct video inclusions into the wikis via soup.io that I had forgotten to remove before. Then I wrapped up my gear and went to bed.

Today I traveled.

Now I arrived, it’s dawning already. I just fired up my Berlin coal oven and got back online: Voilà!

• Today for the first time since 2011-06 when I migrated all the wikis to it my server didn’t overload.


• Today for the first time since a good while my server’s kernel didn’t crash every few hours.

It makes me quite happy that for once I seem to have done the right thing.
